The University of La Laguna has committed to making its website accessible, in accordance with theRoyal Decree 1112/2018, of September 7, on accessibility of websites and mobile applications in the public sector.

This website is partially compliant with the Royal Decree 1112/2018 due to non-compliance with the aspects indicated below.

The content below is not accessible for the following reasons:

  • Lack of compliance with the Royal Decree 1112/2018:
    • There are errors in the use of semantic labeling that reflects the information and relationships of the content [requirements number 9.1.3.1 and 9.4.1.2 of UNE-EN 301549:2022].
    • There are non-textual contents that lack a textual alternative, or that have an alternative that is not adequate [requirement number 9.1.1.1 of UNE-EN 301549:2022].
    • There are errors when customizing the font size, zoom level or text spacing [requirements number 9.1.4.10 of UNE-EN 301549:2022].
    • There are pages where keyboard navigation is not optimal and errors appear [requirements number 9.2.1.1 of UNE-EN 301549:2022].
    • The purpose of the portal's links, headings or labels may not always be sufficiently descriptive or consistent for all users [requirements number 9.2.4.4 of UNE-EN 301549:2022].
    • There are errors related to videos, subtitles, and audio descriptions and their access for all users. [Requirements number 9.1.2.3 of UNE-EN 301549:2022]

Accessibility communications will be received and processed by the Information and Communications Technology Service.

Through the Accessible Information Request and Accessibility Complaint Form You can file a complaint regarding compliance with the requirements established by RD 1112/2018 or submit a request for accessible information regarding:

  • Contents that are excluded from the scope of RD 1112/2018 as established by article 3, section 4 
  • Content that is exempt from compliance with accessibility requirements because it imposes a disproportionate burden.

These requests will be handled by the Citizen Service Department, which must respond within 20 business days.

You may file a complaint against the response to a request for accessible information or a complaint related to the accessibility of these websites (Article 13 of Royal Decree 1112/2018) when:

  • your application or complaint would have been dismissed.
  • did not agree with the decision taken.
  • the response did not meet the requirements set out in article 12.5 of Royal Decree 1112/2018.
  • the period of twenty working days has elapsed

The claim can be submitted through the AEPD Electronic Office, by clicking on the following link, as well as using any of the options provided for in Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations.

Complaints will be received and processed by the Accessibility Unit.

The portal's accessibility has been integrally considered throughout the design, management, maintenance, and content updating process.

This website applies the requirements of the UNE-EN 301549:2022 Standard considering the exceptions of the RD 1112/2018.

The last accessibility review was conducted in September 2023.

The website:

  • It has been designed to adapt to current standards and regulations regarding accessibility, complying with the priority 2 (AA) checkpoints defined in the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines specification (WCAG 2.1).
  • It is optimized for the latest versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari, and Opera.
  • It is designed to be displayed correctly on any resolution and device: desktop, tablet or mobile (responsive design)
  • It has been made using HTML5 as the markup language and CSS 3 style sheets for its design.

In addition, content is continuously audited and reviewed to facilitate interpretation and improve navigation through the website.
