FAQs on Registration

1. What is pre-registration?

Pre-registration is the general procedure you must follow to be admitted to your first year of undergraduate university studies.

2. What academic requirements must I meet to be considered for the registration process?

You will have to meet certain academic requirements that you can consult here.

3. What are the indicative cut-off marks?

The cut-off mark is not a requirement for the university to obtain a place on one of its degree programs. The cut-off mark is the admission mark of the last student admitted to the degree program in the previous academic year through the general quota (Baccalaureate with EBAU/PAU, CFGS, or with UNED accreditation), as of September 30 of the current year. Therefore, the cut-off mark offered for each academic year is a guideline for admission to the corresponding course.

4. What do I need to apply for a place?

To pre-register, you must have a ULL username and password. If you have passed the entrance exams at the University of La Laguna (EBAU and those over 25, 40, and 45 years of age) or are already enrolled in an official degree at the ULL, these will be the same ones provided to you during the pre-registration process. If you do not remember your username and password, you can recover them using the following link: link.

If this is not your case, you must obtain a username and password before starting this procedure. In this tutorial You have instructions on how to obtain said username and password, depending on your personal situation.

5. When do I apply for a place?

Deadlines may vary from course to course. We recommend that you always check the pre-registration process calendar on the website.

However, if there are any degree programs with vacant places—once the June call for applications has concluded—an extraordinary application period will open.

6. Where do I apply for a place?

Pre-registration applications will be submitted electronically through this link.

7. How many pre-registration applications can I submit?

You may only complete one application. Failure to comply with this requirement will result in the cancellation of all applications submitted.

In this application, you may list up to seven undergraduate degrees in order of preference and indicate if you are applying for more than one spot. Once the pre-registration period has ended, the order of preference for your undergraduate degrees cannot be changed.

8. What is the criterion used to assign places?

The criteria for allocating places will be the admission grade, calculated based on the access route you have taken (EBAU, FP, those over 25, 40, and 45 years of age, and/or university graduates).

The scoring and ranking of applications will be carried out independently for each quota, and the specific reasons for exclusion in each of them will not affect applications for the same degree submitted for a different quota.

9. How is the admission grade calculated?

It depends on the quota you are applying for. To learn how your admission score is calculated, click here. here.

10. What are access quotas?

The places offered will be sorted according to a quota distribution.

The general quota is made up of students who have passed the EBAU (Bachelor's Degree in Vocational Training) or equivalent entrance exams, as well as those holding a Higher Technical degree corresponding to Vocational Training and Artistic Education or a Higher Sports Technical degree, and those from foreign educational systems.

On the other hand, there are a series of special quotas in which a certain number of places are reserved. These reserved quotas are:

  • Over 25 years old with entrance exam.
  • People over 45 years of age with a Canary Islands entrance exam.
  • Those over 40 years of age with proof of work and professional experience.
  • University graduates or equivalent.
  • Students with a recognized disability equal to or greater than 33% and students with permanent special educational needs.
  • High-level or high-performance athletes.

More information here

11. Can I apply for more than one access quota?

Generally, you can apply for more than one spot, as long as you meet the requirements for each one.

12. How many places are offered in each quota?

The quota of places is published every year. You can consult it. here.

13. What documentation do I need to submit if I pre-register?

For the submission of documentation we distinguish two groups of applicants:

Group A. It will be configured by people who own:

  • Bachelor's degree with EBAU from the ULL or the ULPGC (since June 2017).
  • High school diploma with PAU at the ULL or the ULPGC (since June 2005).
  • PAM 25 at the ULL or the ULPGC (since June 2005).
  • PAM 45 at the ULL.
  • PAM 45 at the ULPGC (since June 2012).
  • Those over 40 years of age with a resolution from the Rector of the University of La Laguna certifying work or professional experience.
  • Official university degree from the University of La Laguna.
  • Official university degree from the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (since June 2005).

If you fall into any of these situations, you won't need to provide documentation unless you also apply for a reserved spot for students with disabilities or high-level or high-performance athletes.

Group B. It will be composed of the remaining applicants. They are required to provide the required documentation, as appropriate. Submitted applications will remain "pending review" until they are finally reviewed by the ULL.

In this link You will be able to see the documentation you must submit according to the access quota.

14. Where do I have to submit the documentation for pre-registration?

You must submit the documentation through the ULL electronic headquarters before the end of the application submission deadline, which must be translated into Spanish, if applicable, otherwise the application will be excluded from the procedure.

15. How can I find out the status of my application?

Each year, a date is set on the pre-registration calendar to check the status of your application. See information.

This query does not allocate a place, but rather allows you to verify whether you have been admitted or excluded from the procedure, your personal information, the order of the degrees requested, and the academic data on which your application will be assessed.

The consultation will be exclusively by electronic means through the following link. Verify that the link is correct and that you have the same username and password you used to apply for a spot.

16. What should I do if my application has been rejected or my information is incorrect?

In this case you will be able to make allegations from the consultation period (see period in the pre-registration calendar) through the electronic headquarters.

The resolution of the objections will be resolved with the publication of the first list of places allocated.

17. When will I know if I have obtained a place?

When the lists of places awarded are published, along with their waiting lists. There will be two successive phases:

  • Publication of the first award list and waiting list.
  • Publication of the 2nd award list and waiting lists.

18. Where can I find out if I have obtained a place?

19. How will I be notified if I have obtained a place or am on the waiting list?

There is no individual notification. As this is a competitive process, the award and waiting lists are published on the ULL website (see question 18), and you can check your status.

You have to check, on the dates indicated in the pre-registration calendar, if you have obtained a place or if you are on the waiting list.

20. What can I do if I am not satisfied with the placement?

You can claim through the application enabled in the electronic headquarters.

The deadline for claims for each of the award lists can be consulted in the pre-registration calendar.

21. How do I enroll?

Registration will take place at the following link.

22. When do I enroll in the first course?

You will have different dates depending on the list on which you were assigned the spot. See here the procedure.

If the place obtained on this second allocation list is not the one indicated as your first preference, you can enroll on that list to avoid losing it. You will also retain your aspirations (on the waiting lists wherever you are) to obtain a place in the degree programs chosen with the highest preference. If you decide not to enroll during this period, you will only lose the place you were awarded, but you will still maintain your position on the waiting lists for the degree programs chosen with the highest preference.

If you have obtained a place in the first award list in the degree you indicated as first preferenceYou must complete your registration online within the specified period. If you do not register, you will be permanently excluded from the pre-registration system.
If you have obtained a place in a degree that you indicated in second or subsequent preferences You should not register during this period and wait until the second list of places is published.
The place awarded on the first list is not lost, unless it is the place in the degree indicated as first preference (with the obligation to enroll in it to avoid losing it).
In any case, if you enroll in a degree program not chosen first on this first list, you automatically lose all the places you applied for with the highest priority.

If you have obtained a place in the second award list in the degree chosen as first preference You must complete your registration online within the specified period. Otherwise, you will be permanently excluded from the pre-registration system.

23. If I remain on a waiting list, can I still get a place on the degree I want?

If there are vacant places, the execution of waiting lists -after the publication of the second award list.

This procedure will be done exclusively by telematic means using this link, and in the time slots and days indicated on the calendar.

IMPORTANT: You must access the procedure in each of the time slots to check if each section offers you a requested spot with better preference.

  • If you choose to accept the new position you must confirm it, which will imply the cancellation of the registration previously made (if any) and your resignation from the place confirmed in a previous period (if applicable). confirm With this new spot you do not lose the chance to get a new spot with better preference in the following time slots.
  • Do not confirm The offered spot implies that you are giving up your spot. You will keep the spot you already had, if applicable, and you will retain the option of obtaining a new, more preferable spot in the following time slots.

REMEMBER If you have obtained a place and confirmed it, you must register by electronically within the corresponding period, as indicated in the pre-registration calendar. Failure to do so will result in your permanent exclusion from the regular pre-registration system and the loss of your place.

24. I have completed a Baccalaureate degree from a foreign educational system. Can I apply for a place?

If you completed your Baccalaureate in a foreign educational system within the European Union or another foreign system, you must have the corresponding accreditation issued by the UNED.

If you do not have UNED accreditation, you will not be able to apply for a place through pre-registration, but you will be able to apply for admission to ULL undergraduate programs if there are vacant places, once the ordinary and extraordinary pre-registration procedures have been completed.

In this case, you can register at the registrar's office of the center where the chosen degree is taught, and you must present the credential certifying the Spanish baccalaureate degree issued by the Ministry of Education, Culture, and Sport.
