Review of grades

Once the results of the entrance exams are known, students can request a review of the grades for any exercises in which they consider the application of the general assessment criteria and the specific grading criteria to be incorrect.

Procedure for appealing grades

The student and, where applicable, their parent or guardian, may request the presiding judge review the grade obtained on one or more of the EBAU tests. The deadline for submitting these requests is three business days from the date the grades are published.

The grade appeal procedure, which is unique and indivisible, will be carried out in two phases:

1st.- First, the grading process will be reviewed for any material errors, such as errors in the grade calculation, ungraded sections, transcription errors, or other similar errors. In such cases, these errors will be fully corrected, and the corrected grade will be recorded as the first grade for all purposes. This grade may never be lower than the initial grade obtained.

2nd.- Once the review of the previous point is completed, the test will be corrected by a professor from the panel who is a specialist in the subject, different from the one who carried out the first correction.

  • In the event that it existed a difference of less than two points between the two grades, the final grade will be the arithmetic mean of the grades obtained in the two corrections.
  • In the event that it existed a difference of two or more points between the two grades, a third correction will be made ex officio and the final grade will be the arithmetic mean of the three corrections.
  • Therefore, The final grade may be lower, equal to, or higher than the first grade., that is, the one obtained after the first correction.

The review of grades must be carried out within a maximum of five business days, counting from the date the grade review request deadline ends.

Likewise, students who have requested the revision regulated in this section in a subject will have the right to see the corrected exam after the revision, within a period of ten days, counting from the same day of publication of the aforementioned revision, upon request within the established period.

The resolution establishing the final ratings will terminate the administrative process. Interested parties may optionally appeal for reconsideration before the same body that issued the ruling within one month or directly challenge it before the administrative court within two months, in both cases beginning on the day following the publication of the final ratings. No administrative appeal may be filed until it is expressly resolved or the appeal for reconsideration has been dismissed.

Students will have 10 minutes to view each exam they have requested. Under no circumstances does this procedure entail a new grading.

This procedure is entirely personal, and students must be present when the exams for each subject are called. Minors may be accompanied by their mother, father, or legal guardian, who must be duly accredited.

If you are absent at the time of the call, your right to view the exam will be void.
