Reissuance of official titles

At the request of the interested party and upon payment of the corresponding fees, a duplicate of a title will be issued in the cases of loss, theft, total or partial destruction or rectification of the original, with publication in the "Official State Gazette" being an essential requirement in order to facilitate, where appropriate, the appropriate claims.

To request a Duplicate Title, after making the corresponding request by the electronic headquarters and before issuing the corresponding payment letter, the original degree must be presented (except in case of loss) to the secretary of the Faculty or School.

The reasons for requesting a duplicate degree and the requirements are as follows:

• LostWhen submitting the application for a duplicate due to loss, the annex "Application for insertion of an advertisement in the Official State Gazette (BOE) regarding the loss of a university degree" must be completed in the procedure. The payment for the publication in the Official State Gazette (BOE) will be the responsibility of the interested party. Once the advertisement has been published and thirty calendar days have passed, a payment letter for the duplicate fees will be generated and sent to the interested party.

• DeteriorationOnce you have applied for a duplicate and before the corresponding payment letter is issued, you must submit a damaged certificate to the secretary's office at your center/faculty/school. It is essential that the characteristics of the damaged certificate do not prevent its correct identification and that its authenticity does not raise any doubts. If this is not the case, it will be considered a "lost certificate."

• Change of personal information (Name and/or surname, nationality). You must first request any modification of your data through the online procedure "Exercise of Rights Regarding Personal Data Protection."

Change of sex and name or just name of “trans” peopleIn the case of issuing a duplicate due to a change of gender, the process will be processed as a personal data modification and free of charge.

According to article 16 of the Regulations for addressing gender diversity and supporting trans students at the University of La Laguna, the interested person must first submit a general request through the ULL's electronic headquarters, addressed to the ULL General Secretariat, accompanied by a copy of the new national identity document.

Once the Resolution of the General Secretariat has been issued in accordance with the aforementioned article 16, the person may submit a request for reissuance of a duplicate.

• Add a new mention or specialty. The completion of the new mention or specialty must be accredited.

• Add extraordinary end-of-degree award (Degrees prior to Royal Decree 1393/2007)A certificate from the General Secretariat informing you of the award must be attached.

• Rectification of error committed by the Administration. In the case of a degree rectification due to an error committed at the ULL, the interested party does not need to submit a request for a duplicate. The school's Secretary's Office will process the degree rectification with the Degree Issuance Office.

Once processed by the Title Issuance Office and the title registered in the National Registry of Official University Graduates, if the student needs the provisional supplementary certification referred to in article 14.2 of Royal Decree 1002/2010, he/she must present a general request addressed to the Title Issuance Office.
