At the UNIVERSITY OF HUELVA, collaborations with foreign entities are as follows:
1. The agreement currently in force (from January 2010 to December 2014) of the International Research Group: «Groupe de Recherche International International Network of Territorial Intelligence», GDRI INTI, coordinated by the CNRS (France), signed with 8 partner entities from France, Belgium, Italy and Argentina. The scientific exchange is organized around four axes: territory, intelligence, governance and observation; and two cross-cutting themes: vulnerability and gender. The objective of the cross-cutting theme G. [gender] Gender and sustainable development of territories analyses the inclusion of the gender perspective in all areas of the project, specifically:
Studies the implications of the concept of gender in the ontology of territorial intelligence.
It analyses the integration of the gender dimension in the definition of new modes of development and the implications of inequality between men and women in the new culture of development.
Evaluates the capacity of participatory methods to reduce gender gaps.
Defines gender equality indicators.
As reflected in the agreement, this axis G. [gender] is coordinated by Professor Dolores Redondo Toronjo from the University of Huelva, who has long been associated with the master's degree in Gender, Identity and Citizenship in Huelva. This professor retired last year and has been replaced both in the master's degree and in the network by Professor Celia Sánchez López, who now co-coordinates the axis with Professor Giovanna Truda from the University of Salerno. Professor Blanca Miedes Ugarte is one of the 7 members of the scientific committee of this group.
This network, the International Network of Territorial Intelligence, currently mobilizes more than fifty research teams in Europe and Latin America. The group is very active in exchanges and this clearly facilitates the mobility of our doctoral students. The network has a great tradition of cooperative work at a distance, which facilitates the exchange of research staff and the reconciliation of their work.
with other aspects of life.
2. The second agreement is a framework agreement to create a teaching and research network between the UHU and two other Spanish universities, and some from Latin America. The person in charge is Dr. Javier Barnés from the UHU, but Dr. Manuela Mora is the member of the Administrative Department who participates in it, and it affects teaching and research in this area. It therefore facilitates the exchange of doctoral students with the different universities.
3. The third agreement is with the Inter-American Court of Human Rights. Dr. Rosa Giles Carnero coordinates the International Jurisprudence Clinic. The involvement with gender studies is due to the fact that the Court is one of the international courts that has issued judgments with the greatest relevance for the protection of women's rights. One of the points of the agreement is the promotion of research stays for students at the Inter-American Court of Human Rights.
4. Dr. Emilia Moreno is the coordinator and manager of the PhD Programme Education for Multicultural Society, in which the University of Huelva and the Universidade do Algarve (Portugal) participate, submitted for the DOCTORAL QUALITY AWARD FROM SPANISH UNIVERSITIES for the 2005-2006 academic year to the Ministry of Education and Science. This activity is part of the AGREEMENT signed on 15 December 2004 between the University of Huelva (Department of Education) and the University of Algarve (Escola Superior de Educacao and the Faculty of Natural Resources Engineering) within the framework of Royal Decree 778/1998 of 30 April.
5. Finally, the fifth Agreement is called the Hila Network and is supported by the recognition of the AUIP. This network is made up of a group of institutions and researchers that will bring together experts from different areas of knowledge.
of Social Sciences, committed to the study, analysis, research and intervention of social realities from an interdisciplinary perspective, where the gender perspective plays a crucial role. Exchange at the research and teaching level is planned, as well as the future exchange of doctoral students within this

At the REY JUAN CARLOS UNIVERSITY, the teaching staff of this PhD programme has carried out intensive research work in recent years in prestigious research centres, including the University of Aberdeen, the University of Nashville, the CIES-IUL Research Centre, the Lisbon University Institute (ISCTE-IUL) and the National University of Córdoba in Argentina. As a result of her research work and her international projection, the director of the Seminar has received the Leverhulme Research Fellowship.
The Doctoral Programme in Interdisciplinary Gender Studies is committed to extending the international collaborations already established unilaterally by some of the participating universities to all of them, so that all the students enrolled in the programme can benefit from them. There is also a commitment to carry out a project to intensify the internationalisation of the programme through the establishment of multilateral agreements with international research institutions and through active participation in research networks with similar themes. From the different universities we are working on the extension of agreements and membership in mobility programmes in order to intensify internationalisation. In this sense, as an example we cite the BATTUTA project, a programme of the European Commission whose objective is to promote cooperation between European Higher Education Institutions and third countries. Its goal is to stimulate the exchange of students, researchers and teaching staff and to support mobility, mainly from third countries that are not members of the EU to member countries and vice versa. In which the UAM participates as a partner institution.
