Arts and Humanities
Description
The ULL PhD Program in Arts and Humanities is an interdisciplinary postgraduate program aimed at training researchers in linguistic and cultural studies. It involves the departments of Fine Arts, Classical, French, Arabic and Romance Philology, Spanish Philology, English and German Philology and History of Art and Philosophy; and it covers the areas of knowledge related to linguistics and the Arabic, Spanish, French, Greek, English, Latin and Romanesque philologies, their cultures and literatures, and music, art and design, their production, theory and history. This broad field of knowledge is structured in two broad lines: linguistic studies (Line 1) and philological, literary and cultural studies (line 2), but it is specified in an annual offer of supervised research lines that can be found on the Program. Our basic objective is to protect the autonomous work of our students in a demanding and motivating research environment until it leads to obtaining the title of doctor in one of the areas of knowledge of our competence
