Institute of Medieval and Renaissance Studies

The Institute of Medieval and Renaissance Studies (Instituto de Estudios Medievales y Renacentistas - IEMYR) is a multidisciplinary research institute dedicated to fostering medieval and renaissance studies. It consists of professors and researchers from the Universidad de La Laguna whose fields of teaching and research correspond to said field of study. The following 13 knowledge areas are currently represented in the institute: Medieval History; Art History; Archaeology; History of Law; French Philology; English Philology; Greek Philology; Latin Philology; Romance Philology; Spanish Philology; Spanish Literature; Arabic Philology, and History of Science. In addition, it also includes the participation of experts from the University Library.
