Regional Development

Social and Legal Sciences

The globalisation of the economy and regional and local development is undergoing a major transformation. On the other hand, the growing importance of knowledge and innovation in growth and competitivity strategies of both companies and regions, the development of clusters as competitive economic spaces and sustainability as the basic component, pose a need for an articulated integration of regions in globalisation processes. This Master has its origins in the Post-Graduate Programme “Regional Development, Training and Employment” that won a Mention of Quality from the Ministry of Education since the 2004 call for candidates. This led to the proposal of a semi classroom-based Master, but mainly on-line, in line with the new regulations, and focused on Regional Development studies
