  • The objective of this degree is to train students in skills that will help them in making decisions about aesthetics, utility, relationship with the users, with the market and with the manufacturing process of all the artefacts and systems that concern them
  • Graphic designer in the following fields or sectors of activity:
  • Graphic design and illustration (posters, leaflets, illustrations)
  • Publishing design (books, magazines, newspapers, electronic format publications)
  • Digital design (websites, animation, video games, interactive productions, audiovisual productions)
  • Corporate image design and branding (logos, brands, corporate image programs)
  • Packaging design (containers and packaging, displays, PLV)
  • Information design (wayfinding, infographs, schematic diagrams)
  • Artistic Director, Creative Director, Project Manager for design projects, Other fields of design

    Specific Skills
    • To know how to design: to have the necessary knowledge to analyse data, synthesise forms, propose and defend a design concept and develop it until it can actually be manufactured
    • Identify problems that can be solved through design
    • Visualise and visually communicate information, managing the drawing techniques and the graphic display that are used in a design project and present the results attractively
    • Know the aesthetic basis of design: morphology, structure, colour, space, volume, tectonics, typography and composition
    • Know the symbolic values and the semiotic processes
    • Have a basic knowledge of humanities and social sciences to propose research into the needs of each project
    • A working knowledge of the general history of design, art and architecture
    • Keep abreast of market trends
    • Know the specific terminology, techniques and the languages applied to design processes
    • Know and manage the technological and methodological tools to be applied in the design project
    • A working knowledge of design management in order to understand the financial and economic implications of creative decisions
    • A working knowledge of design research methods
    • Ability to design products aimed at enhancing the environment and universal use
    • Be motivated by the quality of the results obtained and rigorous and demanding in personal work
    • Knowledge of anthropology to analyse, assess and intervene in socio-cultural processes
