You do not need to hold any specific qualifications to apply for our Pre-School Teaching degree, other than those set out in Art.14.1 of Royal Decree 1393/2007. However, we do recommend that applicants study subjects from a social science background before applying. We also recommend a background in humanities, arts, general science, and healthcare. Students should be able to demonstrate the following personal and academic characteristics:
- No entrance exams or special admissions proceedures in place
- Good people and communication skills
- Creative tendencies
- The ability to work in a team
- Reliability, discipline and responsability in the workplace
- Interest and concern for social issues, the arts and culture
- Abstract thinking skills and the ability to understand
- The ability to analyse and understand others behaviour
- A sense of responsibility and interest in educational work
- Intuition and observational skills
- Good social skills
- A good vocabulary, being well-spoken and demonstrating a good understanding
- A general interest in education as a whole
