The Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Management (GADE) is the adaptation to the European Higher Education Area of the official Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Management, which has been taught at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration of the University of La Laguna, under various names, since the 1976/77 academic year, following the creation of the aforementioned Faculty in 1975.
The official Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Management, which adapts the Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration to the new regulatory framework governing higher education in Spain (Royal Decree 1393/2007, of October 29), is offered at virtually all Spanish universities, as well as at major European and international universities.
In designing this new degree offered by the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at the ULL, which replaces the Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, and with the aim of ensuring that the curriculum offered by the University of La Laguna is aligned (and converges) with those also proposed by other Faculties of Economics and Business Administration across the country, the center's Technical Committees have considered (and endorsed) the recommendations made by the Spanish Conference of Deans of Economics and Business (CONFEDE), as well as those made by professional associations, and particularly those made by the General Council of Associations of Economists of Spain in its study "Economists and the European Higher Education Area. Analysis from experience and determination of future needs", and therefore have the endorsement of the latter institution, which has concluded the following:
a) That said degrees [Graduate in Economics and Graduate in Business Administration from the University of La Laguna] meet the requirements established by current professional regulations, both in terms of subject content, structure, skills and competencies to be developed.
b) Therefore, students who access these degrees will have the minimum training requirements established in our Professional Statute to access, where appropriate, the profession of Economist, in compliance with the corresponding professional and professional regulations.
In general, it should also be noted that the Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration has been designed in accordance with the recommendations made in the White Paper on Economics and Business Studies, which was prepared by the Spanish Conference of Deans of Economics and Business (CONFEDE), sponsored by ANECA, and in whose development the Faculty of Economics and Business of the University of La Laguna also participated.
