Internships in companies, organizations, and institutions are mandatory for official undergraduate degrees offered at the University of La Laguna and provide students with exposure to real-life situations, complementing their training with the reality of the working world.
It is a training activity carried out by university students and supervised by universities. Its objective is to enable students to apply and complement the knowledge acquired in their academic training, promoting the acquisition of skills that prepare them for professional activities, facilitating their employability, and fostering their entrepreneurial capacity.
The External Internship course for the Bachelor's Degree in Social and Cultural Anthropology is offered annually and is taught during the fourth year, spanning the first and second semesters. The External Internship can be divided into two stages: the first, which provides students with an insight into the functions, roles, and skills of anthropologists, as well as the different social realities in which they operate, under the direct supervision of a professional. It also provides an introduction to the tools of anthropological research. The second stage involves the direct incorporation and participation of students in an organization or program, providing each student with the resources and skills for independent professional intervention and creating spaces for reflection and action as a preliminary step toward professional integration.
Internships may be carried out in collaborating entities/companies such as companies, institutions, public/private entities, etc.
