Competencies

Competencies are the set of knowledge, skills and attitudes to be acquired by students throughout the degree, aimed at preparing them for the exercise of professional activities.

CB1 – Students have demonstrated that they possess and understand knowledge in an area of study that is based on the foundation of general secondary education, and is usually at a level that, while supported by advanced textbooks, also includes some aspects that involve knowledge from the forefront of their field of study.
CB2 – Students know how to apply their knowledge to their work or vocation in a professional manner and possess the skills that are usually demonstrated through the development and defense of arguments and the resolution of problems within their area of study.
CB3 – Students should be able to gather and interpret relevant data (normally within their area of study) to make judgments that include reflection on relevant social, scientific or ethical issues.
CB4 – Students can transmit information, ideas, problems and solutions to both specialized and non-specialized audiences.
CB5 – Students have developed the learning skills necessary to undertake further studies with a high degree of autonomy.

CG1 – Know and use Information and Communication Technologies applicable to visual artistic practice and the creation and management of cultural products and activities.
CG2 – Understand and be able to use basic research tools in the field of artistic creation and research, art criticism and visual and cultural studies.
CG3 – Understand and analyse texts in English related to the field of knowledge of the plastic and visual arts.
CG4 – Apply gender perspective and recognize diversity and multiculturalism.
CG5 – Demonstrate sensitivity towards environmental issues and cultural heritage.

CE1 – Critically understand the history, theory and current discourse of art.
CE2 – Know the terminology, codes and concepts of art.
CE3 – Analyze, interpret and critically evaluate artistic creation.
CE4 – Produce and relate ideas, and identify, interpret and pose innovative and relevant problems related to artistic and visual creation.
CE5 – Know and critically understand the procedures, techniques and materials suitable for the creation of works of visual arts.
CE6 – Solve problems related to image creation using appropriate methodologies and techniques.
CE7 – Demonstrate technical and intellectual skills and abilities for the creation of works of art and visual and cultural products.
CE8 – Develop criteria and a field of your own within the scope of artistic and visual creation and production.
CE9 – Base and register projects of artistic creation and production in the geographic-temporal and socio-cultural coordinates of the moment.
CE10 – Propose, manage, lead and appropriately present artistic creation and production projects.
CE11 – Identify professional standards and the agents and institutions related to artistic creation, production and exhibition, labor relations and art markets.
CE12 – Analyze and evaluate one's own work of artistic and visual creation and production, detecting strengths, difficulties, threats and opportunities and adapting it, accordingly, to the artistic and cultural context.
CE13 – Propose, plan and organize the work of artistic and visual creation and production, both individually and as a team.
CE14 – Develop training and professional competence in the field of artistic and visual creation and production independently.
CE15 – Analyze and synthesize visual information using image production techniques.
CE16 – Express and communicate ideas in the different registers of the field of plastic and visual arts.
CE17 – Identify the basic elements of the contemporary sociocultural context linked to artistic and visual creation and production.
CE18 – Visualize and communicate visual information through artistic creation and production resources and techniques.
