Final Degree Project

The Final Degree Project is a compulsory subject consisting of 12 credits and will be taken in the second semester of the fourth year of the degree. It consists of the development of a unique business initiative project in the Accounting and Finance sector. This project not only covers the operational and conceptual skills related to the design of a business project, but also helps students acquire a series of strategic competencies to improve their employability, such as searching, organizing, and analyzing information, individual and group decision-making, empathy, communication, leadership and motivation, and the design and development of projects and presentations.

In this sense, the Final Degree Project will be organized as follows:

In-person class Entrepreneurship and innovation in financial and service companies 60 hours
Academic tutoring 15 hours
Oral Presentation 5 hours
Self-employment 220 hours

The objectives of the course "Entrepreneurship and Innovation in Financial and Service Companies" will be the following:

  • Understand the process and methodology for generating and conceptualizing innovative business ideas. Value an innovative, open, and collaborative culture.
  • Acquire the skills to carry out business plans in the financial sector.
  • Analyze the potential of financial SMEs in terms of taking advantage of new investment opportunities in the sector.
  • Acquire the values and attitudes necessary for developing business innovation: curiosity, openness to the outside world, collaboration at all levels, sharing and participating in networks, a continuous search for sources of inspiration, and cross-sector hybridization.
  • Acquire the ability to design and apply tools for managing innovation and entrepreneurship in the business and organizational spheres of the financial sector.
  • Reflect on the experiences, successes, and mistakes of companies and entrepreneurs in the financial sector, both nationally and internationally.
