The skills developed in the Economics Degree are those mentioned in the "White Paper on Economics and Business Studies," which states that "the economics graduate must have acquired the character of an expert, a practical person, with clear skills, experienced in their field, who can address management problems with professional criteria and with the handling of technical instruments."

Therefore, with the development of these competencies, it is considered that graduates of the degree will be able to:

  • Contribute to the sound management of resource allocation in both the private and public sectors.
  • Identify and anticipate relevant economic issues related to resource allocation in general, both in the private and public spheres.
  • Provide rationality to the analysis and description of any aspect of economic reality.
  • Evaluate the consequences of different action alternatives and select the best ones given the objectives.
  • Issue advisory reports on specific economic situations (international, national, or regional) or sectors thereof.
  • Draft economic management projects at international, national or regional levels.
  • Integrate into business management.
  • Identify the sources of relevant economic information and their content
  • Understand economic institutions as a result and application of theoretical or formal representations about how the economy works.
  • Derive relevant information from the data that is impossible for non-professionals to recognize.
  • Regularly use information and communications technology throughout your professional performance.
  • Read and communicate professionally in more than one language, especially English.
  • Apply professional criteria based on the use of technical instruments to the analysis of problems.
  • Communicate fluently in your environment and work as a team.
