The ETSICI of the ULL currently has formalized collaboration agreements with different companies and institutions (list of agreements). For any questions related to the external internships, please contact the External Internship Coordinator of the Civil Engineering Section:

Internships in companies and institutions are an important training complement for future graduates to be able to face the world of work.

Two elective subjects of 6 ECTS credits are offered. Students must choose either “External Internships: Public Company” or “External Internships: Private Company”.

The subjects “External Internships: Public Company” and “External Internships: Private Company” aim to provide students with skills and abilities to promote their job placement related to:

  • Knowledge of the organization of professional work in studios, offices, companies, public bodies, etc.
  • Knowledge of professional practice in studios, offices, companies, public bodies, etc.
  • Ability to plan actions and develop projects.
  • Ability to assume responsibility for supervising a work group, assigning tasks and resources (leadership and teamwork).
  • Communication, conflict resolution and negotiation skills (human resource management).
  • Motivation for updating, innovation and research.

On the other hand, and depending on the specific technology itinerary chosen, “Complements to the Final Degree Project: Transport and Urban Systems” or “Complements to the Final Degree Project: Civil Construction” are chosen. The objective of these subjects, which also include a period of stay in a company or public institution, is to develop in a real work environment the skills related to the TFG in the corresponding itinerary.
