The main objective of the degree in Industrial Electronic and Automation Engineering is to scientifically and technically train professionals who can meet the needs of industry and government in this field. These studies, which qualify for the profession of technical industrial engineering, consist of a basic training module for acquiring a solid scientific foundation adapted to this field of industrial electronic and automation engineering; a training module common to the industrial branch for developing general industrial engineering skills; and a specific training module in industrial electronics and automation, for developing specific skills in the different fields of this engineering.

To pursue this degree, students must have a basic knowledge of physics, mathematics, and technical drawing, as well as an interest in languages. Interest and a passion for the world of industry, technology, and robotics, as well as for learning and continuing education in subjects related to science and technology, especially in the field of electronic and automation engineering, are recommended. New students are also required to possess a basic level of English and computer skills. Other important qualities include responsibility, professional ethics, tolerance, commitment, teamwork, and cooperation.

The degree in Industrial Electronic and Automation Engineering qualifies students to practice as an Industrial Technical Engineer in the corresponding specialty. This degree equips them with numerous professional activities, such as developing industrial control and automation systems, robotic systems, and analog, digital, and power electronic instruments; designing and programming equipment used in installations (electrical, HVAC, fluids, security, etc.); modeling and simulating systems; and maintaining industrial processes and installations.

Graduates of this degree will be able to direct and develop projects aimed at the design, maintenance, installation, or operation of industrial facilities and plants; perform certifications, verifications, and appraisals; manage industrial companies in the field of electronics and automation; and engage in teaching and research.

They are professional fields:

  • Design of analog, digital, mixed and power electronic circuits and systems.
  • Design, installation, maintenance and operation of automated systems.
  • Automation of machines, processes and systems.
  • Automation engineering.
  • Electronic design engineering.
  • Equipment and systems supplier companies. Technical support.
