The University

Quality of services

Spanish universities have recently prioritized quality improvement across all services with the aim of extending excellence in university management, using the EFQM Excellence Model as a benchmark. The widespread adoption of the Model, through various initiatives to recognize excellence in management, will allow Spanish universities, and the University of La Laguna in particular, to adapt to increasingly widespread evaluation systems and qualify for awards and recognition.

The European Model of Excellence serves as a reference point for institutions to conduct an internal assessment of their management quality through self-assessment. While the self-assessment is intended for the entire institution, it can also be assessed individually by a unit or service. This self-assessment will identify strengths and areas for improvement, as well as identify the most significant shortcomings so that action plans for improvement can be suggested.
