Marta María Domínguez Herrera

Vice-Rector for Sustainability and Infrastructure

Marta Domínguez Herrera has been a Technical Architect in Construction since 1990, with a Master's Degree in Regional Development, Training, and Employment. She holds a PhD in Regional Development, Training, and Employment from the University of La Laguna and has been a professor at the University of La Laguna in the Department of Engineering and Architecture Techniques and Projects since 1991.

6. Contracts and acquisitions. Those arising from the functions that, in the area of administrative contracting, the legal system attributes to the contracting authority in procedures relating to supply, service, and works contracts within the scope of its powers and the budgetary appropriations allocated to the Expenditure Units for which it is responsible, up to the amount of fifty thousand euros.

7. Grants and aid. Applications for grants and aid related to the Vice-Rector's activities. Grant management.

8. In general, any functions assigned to the Rector in matters of Sustainability and Infrastructure that are not expressly assigned to another body.

9. In any case, the signing of agreements on matters pertaining to the Vice-Rector's Office is excluded from this delegation, without prejudice to any express delegations that may be made for specific cases.

Biography

Marta Domínguez Herrera has been a Technical Architect in Construction since 1990. She holds a Master's Degree in Regional Development, Training, and Employment from the University of La Laguna and a PhD in Regional Development, Training, and Employment from the University of La Laguna.

Since 1991, she has been an Assistant Professor at the University School attached to the Department of Construction Engineering at the University of La Laguna, until 1996, when she applied for a position as Associate Professor at the University School, with full-time dedication, to perform the same tasks she had been performing in that Department.

In July 1996, she took up her position as a Full Professor at the University School in the area of knowledge of Construction Engineering, attached to the Department of Construction Engineering, which since June 2013 was renamed the Department of Techniques and Projects in Engineering and Architecture.

In the 2009-2010 academic year, following the introduction of the Bachelor's Degree in Building Engineering (currently Technical Architecture), he took over teaching the Quality Control subject, corresponding to the fourth year of the new curriculum, a position that remains in place to this day.

In April 2018, she was accredited by ANECA for the corps of Full Professors at the University, a status that remains in place to this day.
