Master's Degree in Tourism Management and Planning

The Master in Tourism Management and Planning offers training to meet the challenges of this activity, offering two specialization profiles: Management of Tourism Companies and Destination Planning.

General information

– To train people with the ability to develop professionally in the field of planning and management of tourist destinations and companies
– Provide a solid academic background that enables rigorous contributions to be made to the most relevant issues in the field of tourism, both in public and private spheres.
– Provide the necessary tools for the analysis of the sustainability of tourism, both in relation to its economic and business contribution, to environmental challenges and to its contribution to the well-being of the societies in which it operates.

  • Graduate in Tourism; graduates or graduates in Tourism, Business Administration and Management (ADE), Business, Economics, Law, Geography or Sociology from Spanish universities who want to complete their training by specializing in the field of tourism. Also graduates or graduates in other fields who wish to reorient their training and professional specialization towards the field of tourism. Other graduates or graduates in active service who want to improve their training in or towards the field of tourism. The prior knowledge required corresponds to that taught in the Tourism degree at ULL.

The Master in Tourism Management and Planning facilitates professional development in the following areas, among others:
Planning and management of tourist destinations: Destination Plans Manager, member of teams with responsibility for destination program management and tourism planning.
Tourism Products Directorate: design and management of specific products, tourist product development technicians.
Corporate management of organizations: management of non-profit tourism entities, management positions in hotel companies, intermediation, leisure and other companies related to tourism.
Operational management of tourism companies: management of information, promotion and tourism marketing, product management within an organization (and director of management areas).
– R&D&I tasks, consulting, academic research in tourism.

The planning and mobility management resources provided by the University of La Laguna itself will be used.
