- To train to recognize and incorporate the contributions of women to society and culture, as well as to historically analyze the construction of knowledge, in order to detect its androcentric bias, and correct it in the sense of inclusiveness and visibility of women.
- Provide theoretical and practical knowledge that facilitates the application of gender mainstreaming in institutions and that serves to implement the principle of equal opportunities in public policies at different levels (international, state, autonomous communities, municipalities) in relation to employment, education, work, social services, sexuality, health, cooperation and citizen participation.
- To train in the detection and analysis of the different ways in which social gender inequalities occur, and to provide an information and evaluation system conducive to diagnosing inequalities, as well as proposing political interventions that lead to the achievement of real and effective equality.
