Master's Degree in Computer Engineering

The Master's Degree in Computer Engineering has been designed with the aim of enabling students who complete the Degree in Computer Engineering to complement their academic training and learn the most innovative and relevant procedures and techniques in the field of Professional Computing and its applications. The distinguishing aspect of this degree is the emphasis on standard, free and open source technologies, both for the relevant role they have acquired as a backbone in the ICT sector, and for the added value that this represents in the learning of the contents developed. This commitment is transferred transversally to all the subjects that make up the master's degree.

  • The proposed degree has been designed primarily with the aim of enabling students of the Degree in Computer Engineering to complement their academic training and learn the most innovative and relevant procedures and techniques in the field of Professional Computing and its applications. The design is carried out with the emphasis on standard, free and open source technologies as a differentiating element, both for the relevant role that these have acquired as a backbone element in the ICT sector, and for the added value that this represents in the learning of the developed content. This commitment is transferred transversally to all the subjects that make up the Master's Degree.
  • The access profile of the student will be that of a Computer Engineer or Graduate, a Technical Engineer in Computer Science or a Graduate in Computer Engineering, and cannot be accessed from any other degree that does not meet the conditions indicated in the resolution of June 8, 2009.

  • Graduates of this master's degree will be able to develop, among others, the following professional roles: ICT Director, leading projects, teams and organizations in the ICT sector within the company, Software Engineer, managing the application development process to ensure quality, usability and user satisfaction, Systems Architect, designing distributed applications, or evaluating the performance of networks and systems, Information Systems Consultant, advising on information technology strategy, the distribution of multimedia content on the Internet or the management of computer security, Computer Scientist, developing intensive computing applications, simulations of real systems or applying artificial intelligence techniques to solve complex problems.
