Master in Family, Social and Community Intervention and Mediation (Interuniversity)
The present Master's degree in Family, Social and Community Intervention and Mediation responds to the need to continue to have a space for interdisciplinary academic training for future professionals in the promotion of human development throughout life and in their family, social and community environments through intervention and mediation strategies. This training is also a need demanded by public and private institutions, which must provide an adequate response to the changes that the family is experiencing in today's society, such as the emergence of new family forms, the need to reconcile family and work life, greater sensitivity to situations of violation and lack of protection of minors, and gender violence and the support needs of immigrant families, among others. Likewise, these professionals must respond to the crisis of contemporary societies that manifest themselves in many ways.
The Master's degree maintains an approach based on the prevention of risk factors and the promotion of strengths and capabilities to achieve autonomous functioning at a personal, social and community level. It is inspired by values of coexistence, respect, tolerance, dialogue and positive and cooperative resolution of problems and conflicts, with a markedly preventive approach and the promotion of understanding, as well as democratic values, respect for diversity, equality and the Culture of Peace.
