Master's Degree in Research and Diagnosis of Tropical Diseases

The Master's Degree in Research and Diagnosis of Tropical Diseases is designed to train professionals who are capable of contributing to the improvement of Public Health in developing countries and of researching in this broad field of health.

General information

  • Provide the capacity to design and carry out Programs related to the promotion, education, management, information and research in Tropical Diseases
  • That the student is able to perform, design and interpret the different tests necessary to resolve the situations that arise in the diagnosis and investigation of Tropical Diseases
  • That the student acquires the knowledge, attitudes and skills necessary to act in the prevention, diagnosis, research and control of the so-called "Tropical Diseases"
  • Students applying for access to the Master's degree must be in possession of a qualification corresponding to the branch of health sciences or qualifications in the field of biology that have skills related to the subjects of this master's degree.

  • Graduates of the Master's Degree in Research and Diagnosis of Tropical Diseases (MIDETROP) will acquire the knowledge, attitudes and skills necessary to act in the prevention, diagnosis, research and control of Tropical Diseases. They will be able to perform, design and interpret the different tests necessary to resolve the situations that arise in the diagnosis and research of Tropical Diseases, as well as design and carry out Programs related to the promotion, education, management, information and research in Tropical Diseases. In addition, passing this Master's Degree will provide the necessary bases to pursue doctoral studies and to continue a research career in these fields at any national or international center.

The planning and mobility management resources provided by the University of La Laguna itself will be used.
