Competencies

Competencies are the set of knowledge, skills and attitudes to be acquired by students throughout the degree, aimed at preparing them for the exercise of professional activities.

CB6. Possess and understand knowledge that provides a basis or opportunity to be original in the development and/or application of ideas, often in a research context.

CB7. Students are able to apply the knowledge they have acquired and their problem-solving skills in new or unfamiliar environments within broader (or multidisciplinary) contexts related to their area of study.

CB8. Students are able to integrate knowledge and deal with the complexity of making judgments based on information that, although incomplete or limited, includes reflections on the social and ethical responsibilities linked to the application of their knowledge and judgments.

CB9. Students should be able to communicate their conclusions and the knowledge and reasons that support them to specialized and non-specialized audiences in a clear and unambiguous manner.

CB10. Students should have the learning skills to enable them to continue studying in a manner that will be largely self-directed or autonomous.

CG1. Know the multiplicity of determinants that scientifically justify the different health models.

CG2. Know the different psychosocial and process factors involved in physical and mental health and illness problems.

CG3. Know the defining determinants of psychological health action at its different levels of evaluation, diagnosis or intervention.

CG4. Identify the analytical-functional and psychopathological factors that guide psychological procedures and decision-making in diagnosis and evaluation.

CG5. Identify the different types of interrelations between biological, psychological and social factors that are involved in the planning of psychological intervention.

CG6. Comply with the ethical obligations of Psychology as a profession.

CG7. Demonstrate the capacity for research, development and innovation in the scientific field.

CE1. Acquire, develop and put into practice a concept of comprehensive health, which includes the biopsychosocial components of health, in accordance with the guidelines established by the WHO.

CE2. Apply the fundamentals of bioethics and the method of deliberation in professional practice, adjusting their work as a health professional to the provisions of Law 44/2003, of November 21, on the regulation of health professions.

CE3. Demonstrate interpersonal communication and emotion management skills appropriate for effective interaction with patients, family members and caregivers in the processes of problem identification, assessment, communication of the diagnosis and psychological intervention and follow-up.

CE4. Critically analyze and use sources of clinical information.

CE5. Use information and communication technologies in professional performance.

CE6. Write psychological reports appropriately for the recipients.

CE7. Formulate working hypotheses in research and collect and critically assess information to solve problems, applying the scientific method.

CE8. Know the framework of action of the general health psychologist and know how to refer to the corresponding specialist professional.

CE9. Develop their work from the perspective of quality and continuous improvement, with the self-critical capacity necessary for responsible professional performance.

CE10. Know how to communicate and communicate with other professionals, and master the skills necessary for teamwork and multidisciplinary groups.

CE11. Knowledge of the obligations and responsibilities of healthcare personnel regarding the confidentiality of information and the protection of patients' personal data.

CE12. Understand in depth the psychological nature of human behavior, as well as the social and biological factors that can affect it.

CE13. Understand in depth the psychological nature of human behavioral disorders.

CE14. Gain in-depth knowledge of the psychosocial factors associated with health problems and illness.

CE15. Gain in-depth knowledge of the biological and psychosocial factors associated with health and illness problems, especially those related to mental health.

CE16. To have in-depth knowledge of the different models of evaluation and intervention in the field of General Health Psychology, as well as the techniques and procedures derived from them for addressing behavioral disorders and psychological factors associated with health problems.

CE17. Plan, carry out and, where appropriate, supervise the psychological evaluation process of human behavior and psychological factors associated with health problems in order to establish an assessment of the same.

CE18. Design, develop and, where appropriate, supervise and evaluate psychological intervention plans and programs, based on the psychological assessment and the individual and social variables present in each case.

CE19. Know the activities necessary for the constitution, start-up and management of a company, its different legal forms and the associated legal, accounting and tax obligations.

CE20. Knowledge of current regulations in the Spanish healthcare field.

CE21. Carry out activities to promote and educate individuals and communities about psychological health.
