Ciclo coloquios IUNE 2022: «And I’ll see you in the high and low»

Valentina Silvestri will present a series of studies, part of her PhD thesis, aiming at investigating the ontogenetic origins of sensitivity to facial cues to trustworthiness – i.e., whether others are likely to approach us friendly or hostilely, and emotion. The studies presented by Silvestri investigated the nature of the visual information driving emotion discrimination and/or trustworthiness perception across the life span using the spatial filtering approach – i.e., the selective removal of portions of the spatial frequencies (SF) information contained in the image.
