El Régimen Económico y Fiscal de Canarias: antecedentes y situación actual

Resumen

Este artículo tiene por objeto y se basa en el estudio del Régimen Económico y Fiscal de Canarias, con el objetivo principal de realizar una comparativa entre los últimos periodos en los que se ha aplicado, con el fin de comprobar su evolución e identificar las áreas que se han visto más afectadas. Es por ello que se han analizado los últimos tres periodos en los que se han llevado a cabo modificaciones de relevancia en la Ley principal que regula el REF. También se ha revisado la situación económica del archipiélago canario, para conocer de primera mano cuáles son las necesidades primordiales dentro de nuestras Islas. Además, se han estudiado los principios históricos del REF.

Economic and Fiscal System of the Canary Islands: Background and Current Situation». This article concerns and is based on the study of the Economic and Fiscal System of the Canary Islands with the primary aim of making a comparison between the recent periods it has been applied in order to check its progress and identify the areas that have been most affected. It is for this reason that the last three periods in which relevant changes have been made in most important REF Act have been analyzed. It has also been given an overview of the economic situation of the Canaries, to learn firsthand which are the priority needs in our Islands. Besides, the historic principles of REF have been studied.
