A este artículo, además de texto, le gustaría ser algo así como un reclamo, una oferta que pudiera convertirse en un "viaje" a un presente que fue (y es todavía) constantemente "alejado" hacia el pasado. ¡Anímese a visitar lo alocrónico! Si me acompaña, más allá del necesario trago amargo de su problematización sociológica -del ejercicio de construcción/invención de las medianías o zonas rurales de las Islas Canarias-, tendrá todo el campo a sus pies, convivirá con sus moradores, los magos, experimentará el lugar fundamental que ocupan en la industria cultural del archipiélago. ¡Visítelo! ¡Es una experiencia única! ¡Y despreocúpese! sus coordenadas lo vinculan a la expansión del moderno sistema-mundial desde el siglo XV hasta nuestros días, tiempo suficiente para que las narrativas de la modernidad/colonialidad hayan contribuido a modelar su imagen y semblanza, fundando las "distinciones" y «distancias» que todavía lo envuelven en ese carácter bucólico y exótico. Transitar sus místicas geografías ¡será como andar por casa!

Their coordinates are linked to the expansion of the modern world-system since the xv century to our days; time enough for modernity/coloniality narratives to shape their image and semblance, founding the «distinctions» and «distances» that still wrap a bucolic and exotic character.
