Abstract
The purpose of the present manuscript is a free and argued reflection on how Patricia Benner’s philosophy can support the training paradigm of nurses once they graduate from university and begin to join health institutions to work as nursing professionals. The foundation of Benner’s philosophy and the reflection on how much needs to be improved for specialized nursing training are addressed.
